Montana residents who pay the $9 state parks fee with their annual vehicle registration have no daily entrance fees to state park. For residents who do not include this in their vehicle registration is required to pay the nonresident day use fee.
Nonresident visitors are required to have a park entrance pass to visit state parks. The daily entrance is $8 per vehicle.
Daily entrance is only good for the date(s) purchased at any state park.
When arriving at a state park, you will need to show your electronic daily entrance pass to park staff. If staff are not available, use a self-pay envelope. Be sure to fill out all information on the envelope and on the Other Fees line, enter the transaction number located on this confirmation letter.
Tour Tickets: Advanced purchase of tickets (reservations) is required. There is a minimum one day sales window for advanced purchased tour tickets. If tickets are available the day of the tour, they are only sold at the park. However, tours fill quickly so there is no guarantee that tickets will be available day of.
