Join us for a guided hike to learn the history of our beloved Beaverhead County natural landmark!
Park staff will take you to the top of Beaverhead Rock. This rock was recognized by Native Americans, explorers, trappers, traders, gold miners, and settlers as they traveled through the region. Views from the top of the rock of the Beaverhead River, distant mountain ranges, and agricultural fields are impressive.
Make sure to bring water, snacks, and be prepared for the weather. This 1.5-mile guided hike is moderate to strenuous and will begin at 9am from the trailhead. There are no bathrooms or services at Beaverhead Rock State Park.
